Hi Hi!!
I thought it was a helpful trick in bringing in colors without going through layer after layer. I rectangled the areas where I brought the color as a "fill" through the image. I used two different brushes and played with the opacity.
Overall you should be able to see the seafoam green color 'shining through' versus the original blueis-purple color.
